The red hot Jonas Brothers have signed their first ever book deal with Disney Book Group, which will publish an exclusive behind the scenes book from the chart topping band. The book, to be published under the Disney Hyperion Books imprint and designed to capitalize on the trio's growing popularity, will be out this fall after the band's Burning Up Tour wraps up. Disney Book Group has acquired world rights for the title, which follows a similar move by the company when it signed Miley Cyrus aka Hannah Montana to a book deal back in April.
“We have such an amazing time performing at our concerts, and to be able to chronicle all of the fun for our fans and readers is just incredible for us,” said brothers Kevin, Joe and Nick in a statement. “We hope our fans get to relive our shows and discover things they haven’t seen before through our book.”
The band has been a big surprise over the past year, consistently selling out shows, according to TicketNews's exclusive event rankings, and selling albums at a healthy clip. The trio's success, and earning potential, led Live Nation to sign the band to a multi-year touring deal.
Signed to Hollywood Records in 2006, the Jonas Brothers released their self-titled sophomore record in August of that year. Within a week it reached number five on the Billboard Hot 200 chart. They launched a solo headline tour in the spring of this year, and broke the record for the fastest sellout in the history of the Gibson Amphitheater in California. The band is also starring in the eagerly anticipated Disney Channel Original Movie, "Camp Rock," which will premiere this month, and will be heading out on an international tour beginning this summer. Additionally, a 3-D concert feature film starring the brothers will hit theaters in January 2009. Their third album, “A Little Bit Longer,” is set for an August 12 release.
